Something New
So my sitting on the down low ended the night that I posted. I ended up having a large order I needed to get done for the Hot*Pop shop that I work with, and then was flooded with online orders. I also decided to design and make a few new things for the shop. So you can pretty much say I have been crocheting till my fingers were blistered ( and they really did get blistered). Things don't seem like they will be slowing down any time soon, but when they do I will make sure to make more regular posts, but until then I will leave you with and introduction to the newest members of the shop.

Sitting on the Down Low
So things here have been not to busy in the crochet area. We have been traveling, visiting, having guests over, and getting sick lately at our home. So me and the hook haven't had much time to work on anything. I finished up some Easter things and baby gifts before the holiday weekend, and I just got my Twinkie Chan Foodie book. I don't normally make things from someone else's patterns but I am an admire of Twinkie and her work and am taking time to work through her patterns as a learning experience. It is interesting how people do things differently and it does go much quicker when I am not crocheting and writing a pattern. I have made the Cake Tissue cozy and am in the process of making the Bomb Pop Scarf. So yeah I guess you can say I have been slacking in my work department but I need some R&R and this is it I think. Don't worry I will have my Princess Bubble Gum made up soon along with a few other new things in the next few weeks.
Just some of the things I made up before the holiday for the littles in my life. |

Zodiac of the Week- The Cat
The Cat: the 13th Animal of the Zodiac (should be in the Zodiac) |
The Cat and the Zodiac
There is a legend that goes along with this little guy concerning the Rat, the Zodiac animals, and the reason why the cat is not officially in the Chinese Zodiac.
This little guy measures 5 1/2 inches tall (not including ears)
Everything on him is hand crocheted or stitched with love. Also included is a card printed with original artwork and the story about the Cat and the Zodiac.
A long, long time ago, the Cat and the Rat were the best of friends.......

Spring Has Sprung...And I Have Been Lazy
So the weather was finally really nice this weekend, which meant I did pretty much nothing crochet wise this weekend. (A girl has got to get started on her tan you know). ;) I did start to take care of my Easter crochet for the little's. I thought making some small egg shaped plushies of characters they liked would be perfect. So for the bigger of the little's I am making a set from Mario (there will be Mario, Luigi, Micro Gumba, and a Pipe that they can actually fit in). For the littlest of the little's I am making a Totoro set (The big, Med., and Sm ones). I also may have to make two Pikachus since they have requested such. We will have to see.
The Green piece is the going to be the top of the pipe if anyone is curious. :) |
